I recently learned two words in Polish – “Prawo Jazdy” – which I am told means “Driver Licence”. Apparently police in the Irish Republic have stopped “Prawo Jazdy” on more than fifty occasions for motoring offences but only recently discovered that instead of writing the driver’s name on the citation they were issuing tickets to Mr. Driver Licence!
