SAND/DNA Access is a data repository that can be used to store large volumes of data in a highly-compacted and yet accessible form on-demand. SAND/DNA Access uses Column-Based Architecture Technology (CBAT), tokenisation, and compression to compact data into 10%-15% of its original volume. In this way data can be efficiently stored outside of transactional systems or data warehouses, using the minimum amount of disk space.
