At an Intel developers’ forum held in Beijing last month, Bill Gates announced a new package called the Microsoft Student Innovation Suite (MSIS). It comprises a cut-down version of Windows XP called the “Starter Edition”, most of the components of Microsoft Office, the Live Mail e-mail package, and bundled educational software (Microsoft Math and Learning Essentials).
