The extreme number of SOA Platform vendors competing for market share means that consolidation will gather pace. There will still be scope for vendors with an incomplete portfolio to fill in the gaps through acquisition, but we will also see some of the larger vendors acquiring competitors simply to accelerate their market share growth.
